Greater South Bay STEM Foundation is a community based program that provides hands-on instruction and programs to engage, teach, and inspire the next generation in the fields of science, technology, engineering, art and math (STEAM).
GSBSF also provides free STEAM classes to at risk youth, adults and senior citizens in underserved communities.
The GSBSF opens doors in STEAM that were previously unheard of for elementary school children. Through the proven success of our after-school program (Techakids) and summer camps, girls and boys are gaining a passion for STEAM Science ,Technology, Engineering Art and Math. Our students are learning critical skills to sustain them now and in the future. Tailoring our programs to trending STEAM topics, students gain a love for STEAM through programming their own robots, artificial intelligence, 3D printing and learning code used in the apps they enjoy.
GSBSF is about giving our children the highest possible quality in STEAM (science, technology, engineering, art, mathematics) course instruction.We pride ourselves in challenging our kids 4 to 5 grade levels above their primary grade and exposing them to high school and college level material. We are creating a makerspace so our children can explore and let their imaginations run wild with the technology at their disposal, and computer programming as their tools. To maximize their learning potential we have voluntary homework assignments, practice drills, and virtual classrooms with a live stream. This is how our children will learn in the future.
